Wisconsin Statute

Post by I.D.10-t »

"Regulation of Industry, Buildings, and Safety", Wisconsin Statutes 101.58 (2): 40, 2007–2008

http://www.legis.state.wi.us/statutes/Stat0101.pdf
2. “Toxic substance” does not include:
a. Any article, including but not limited to an item of equipment
or hardware, which contains a substance regulated by the
federal occupational safety and health administration under title
29 of the code of federal regulations part 1910, subpart z, if the
substance is present in a solid form which does not cause any acute
or chronic health hazard as a result of being handled by an
employee.
b. Any mixture containing a substance regulated under title
29 of the code of federal regulations part 1910, subpart z, if the
substance is less than one percent, or, if the substance is an impurity,
less than 2%, of the product.
c. Any consumer product packaged for distribution to and
used by the general public, for which the employee’s exposure
during use is not significantly greater than the consumer’s exposure
occurring during the principal use of the product.
d. Any substance received by an employer in a sealed package
and subsequently sold or transferred in that package, if the seal
remains intact while the substance is in the employer’s workplace.
e. Any waste material regulated under the federal resource
conservation and recovery act, P.L. 94−580.
f. Lutefisk.
Just thought you all would like to know this.

Sure as shoot'n when a state has to specifically stipulate in it's state code that a sodium hydroxide treated fish is not a toxic substance, then it most certainly must be. I have forwarded this to the FDA and to NAAG. If they can't stop production I'm sure they can get enough money from the industry to pay for the treatment of citizens exposed to this substance. Oh! the hominy!

I.D.10-t, you were either Googling lutefisk, or Wisconsin legislation. Either way, this proves you are easily weirder than I. Congratulations. I didn't think it could be done.

A whole, separate stipulation for lutefisk! Marvelous. This is either statutory hijinks, or lutefisk is truly regarded to stand in a category all its own with no comparison, and this is reflected in Wisconsin law.

BTW, did I mention I detest PDF files?

I was searching for "Wisconsin annual consumption lutefisk"

Olsen Fish Company
Notwithstanding the familial tension, exerts say that by New Year’s Day, Americans will have cooked and eaten more than 1 million pounds of lutefisk.
That attempt includes hot, buttery lutefisk giveaways at summer gatherings of young people in Minnesota and Wisconsin, which are the premier lutefisk states. The others in the lutefisk zone are Illinois, Iowa, North and South Dakota, Montana and Washington.
Just trying to break it down by state.

Go to the State of Wisconsin's home page and type in "annual consumption lutefisk" and you only get one match and it is the one I put in the first post.

That got some folks ticked off. They used student funds for that, and it was big bucks back then. Then they plastered Bascom Hill with a thousand or more flamigos that fall. I have three flamingos that are suppose to have been there in our attic that a friend sent us. We exercise them every spring out in the front garden for a few days. Shows our neighbors we got class.

I'm surprised there is no mention of the UP, we've had lutefisk at a micro-brewery up that way several times, Yupperfisk.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.
