Whistle providers in Europe and elsewhere

Hello everyone!

During the short time of my fascination with the tin whistle, I have encountered an interesting problem.

While these instruments and related items are easily available in the U.K., U.S.A. and Canada, buying them outside these countries is a whole different story.

Of course there is always the option to buy them directly from the makers, but this can be difficult if different currencies are involved.

During research I have already found a fair number of online and “real-life” providers I’d like to share with you.

The purpose of this thread is to collect mail and website addresses from whistle providers in Europe and all over the world. - Not whistle makers, though. There is already an extensive list available (see my first reply below).

Well. I'm not in "native irish" countries like UK or Australia, and not even in EU. So I do know your problem well :)

Though there are some local providers here in Russia, it's better to do some international shopping in most cases (except buying a Clarke, maybe). Don't choose from what your local provider has - go online, choose any whistle you like, and find a best way to buy it.

Sometimes you'll get it secondhand here at C&F. In most other times the best way is to contact the maker - most of them are great guys (is that whistlemaking that makes people better, or being good makes people start whistlemaking, I wonder?).

Right now two whistles are on their way to me - one secondhand from ebay, and one from Doc Jones store. Agghhrrr, the mail is so damn slow!!! :)))
