Many sets by the grand masters of old survive and are played or are in collections both private and public but what happened to the tools used to create them. Are there any surviving so we know for instnce what sort of drills and reamers were used

enter 'Uilleann bagpipes' in the search form and a ful description (alas, sans jpg) of the Mercer Taylor pipes should pop up.
