I am searching a good irish flute quality, but inexpensive (US$ 120).

Dear AlonE,

I believe Hammy Hamilton's Practice Flute might best serve you and your budget.

Plus Doc (Patrick Jones) currently has some at the Irish Flute Store for $115 here:

Or one of Doug Tipples PVC flutes with the lip-plate and wedge ($85 I believe) here: http://dougsflutes.googlepages.com/

You will find both of these Gentlemen kind and accomodating! :)

All the Best!
Keep on Tootin!

I'd say the most common recommendation for that price is a Tipple. Doug Tipple is always great to work with too, and his flutes are quality.

A cylindrical practice flute of some non-wooden material is the only thing remotely playable in that price range. Tipple seem to get the best reviews.

For a conical concert flute, you'll have to spend at least $400

Tiene razón. Yo tambien he empezado a tocar fluta con una de Doug Tipple. Y por el precio no obtendras nada a penas similar. Ademas es un típo múy símpatico.

Ojala te sean útiles, nuestros comentarios.
Suerte,

Doug Tipple's flutes are great, and in your price range. Doug's flute was the first flute I bought to learn on after moving from the whistle and suited me just fine.

The embouvhure is circular, but I know he used to cut an ellipticle one if you wanted it for $10 extra. If I was to do it again I would go for that option.

Doug is also excellent to deal with.

Karl.
