Nice :)

I looked at freshwater mandolins for a while before deciding to concentrate on f-hole models for their slight edge on versatility. They look like fine instruments at a very reasonable price.

Looks like you'll be having fun. Congrats, mate.

I have it tuned to GDAD which gives it a lovely drone sound with very bright & loud sound. The sound is very similar to the sound of Donal Lunny's Bouzouki

Standard Bouzouki ( new range) Freshwater Accord Range

Post by Uinsin42 »

Hi Fergmaun,

Did you visit the shop in Invernes or order online, it's quite a journey from Cork.

Hi Uinsin42

Before ordering the Accord Bouzouki Price £380, I sent an Quotation on the website to Dave Freshwater enquirering about the Standard Bouzouki FF109 price £540 with mahogany and cedar. (The Accord Range was not listed on this website in March 2007)

I think Dave got back to me by phone saying he had this new range of cheaper instruments if I was interested.

I placed my order for the Irish Bouzouki online payment by Visa Credit Card and the instrument was sent by courier to my home address in Belfast.

Cheers

Irish Bouzouki

Post by Uinsin42 »

Thanks Fergmaun,

The wisdom of buying a stringed instrument online was a concern to me, I had never heard of the Irish Bouzouki till 3 or 4 onths ago when I broke the the neck of a Turkish Lute and was searching for a replacment.
