The Mark of the Beast: 2111
Oh great. I just threw away an unopened jar of Peter Pan peanut butter with the "2111" code indicating it is part of the salmonella recall. The bad news: I also threw away a half-empty jar. I'm so totally screwed.

Man, this is the problem with you SUV-drivin' gas-gullin' meat-eatin' greedy awful American consumers.
Doncha know you should grow your own peanuts, then pulverize 'em in a granite pestle? Store-bought peanut butter, indeed. Next thing you'll tell me is that you buy butter in cardboard boxes instead of churnin' yer own.
Peter Pan. Wow. It should be at least something like Mama Nirvana's Organic Peanut Spread with no animal testing. You deserve the evil germs, man, for your crimes against Gaia!

How do you prepare for the end of the world?

Ok, riddle me this. At the Conagra website, they tell me that I need to throw away all unused peanut butter immediately, but keep the lids so I can send them in for a full refund. On about 4 of the 7 jars I have in my possession, there is no code...it's on the jar itself. Why in the heck do they put it on the jar, if it's the lid that they want? I smell a peanut butter covered rat here.
By the way, Dale, I agree with you. You are screwed. Sorry about that.

One of the children was feeling unwell, but not terribly unwell. Her mother told her she could go to whatever it was they were going to if she didn't feel nauseous. Upon which, she burst out in song, to the familiar tune ...jsluder wrote:Gives a whole new meaning to the "I won't grow up" song, eh?
