Delivery Issues

Our toy poodle just had the one pup, and the second of the litter is jammed in the birthing canal. My parents have taken her to the vet. It's the middle of the night. We'd appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

I just finished saying a Hail Mary for the puppy/mother. Good luck.

Labor during the wee small hours... common to mothers of many species, it seems. Tough break, that. I'm sending positive vibes in your direction...hoping mom and pups pull through okay.

The mother and the one pup are fine. The remaining pups, however, were stillborn.

I'm sorry. I hope that her puppy will keep her occupied and she won't grieve too much.

I too hope the mother and pup will help each other through. Sorry for the stillborn pups, Walden. That's so sad.

I was wondering from the other thread how things were going. I'm so glad the mother could be gotten to the vet and helped and I'm sorry about the other puppies. That must have been a scary night for everyone. I'm glad it is over, although I know it will take time for the mother and your family to recover.

Heart breaking stuff but at least She has one to keep her going.

Tell us something.: From the land beyond beyond. From the time past hope and fear. I bid you, Genie, now appear! Well, the Genie did not appear but the notification to type at least 100 characters did so I am back and typing some more as you, if anyone actually sees this, can probably tell.

What a bummer, Walden. The one puppy is quite a cutie pie, though.

She's on pain pills. She's a very devoted mother. If she steps away to eat, and the pup lets out the slightest cry she runs back to it.
