FS:Hudsons, Rudalls, Prattens and the like available
Hi everyone.
Andrew emailed me today, he is "tidying up a bit" around the house, and wanted to let everyone know that he has a assortment of beautiful flutes by Boozy, Rudall, and Hudson and the like. He has, probably the best collection of instruments outside a museum, some of which have not yet been played!
I do not have any vested interest in this, just doing him a favor. You can contact me off site at Cochranflutes@gmail.com and I will pass it on to him.

I played a good number of Andrew's flutes some time ago - and there are some excellent flutes in his collection. It is worth noting that when Andrew gets any repairs carried out, they are always done by Chris Wilkes. He has very detailed pictures of all his flutes which I am sure he would be willing to e-mail to interested parties.
Some mornings, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps.

Yes, he lives in London. I don't think it would be a problem, as ling as you keep the flute humidified. If the flute is sealed in transit it should maintain it's humidity.I.D.10-t wrote:Doesn’t he live in the UK?
Would changes in humidity and shipping be a concern?
Sounds like a great opportunity though.
If only I has a couple of thousand sitting around...

Pictures?
Hey Jon,
Could you get a picture or perhaps more from Andrew, to post here on the forum?
Then those of us with thin wallets could still look and dream!
All the Best!

I don't know where Andrew lives, and I wish him well.
But although there are a number of streets in London called Malvern Street, you find Malvern in Worcestershire/Herefordshire south of Birmingham:

I just received an email from Andrew about his flutes. He mentioned that he currently has about 60 flutes. Search in the flute forum for "What does coccus wood look like?" for a photo of some of them. Andrew is experiencing computer problems (a Windows crash, he said), so more details about the flutes that he has available will be forthcoming.

I knew I had done something with the photos he had send me. Here is a selection of Andrew's flutes. Obviously I have no idea which of these he would be willing to sell, but it gives you an idea of what may be available.Doug_Tipple wrote:Search in the flute forum for "What does coccus wood look like?" for a photo of some of them.
