hmm, interesting...could imagine it helps by strengthening the muscles in the back of your throat, which might prevent them from slopping back to the further back of your throat, which leads to snoring.
Wonder if alphorn players have sleep apnoe disorder...

2. There aren't many alphorn players in the greater Seattle area...(I could be wrong about this) so what's wrong with learning alphorn?

2. good 'nuf...cows are not that musical...the coyotes get off a good one fairly often. (Never was much for brass anyhow)

I play the didgeridoo, and I have to say I do sleep well. On the other hand, it keeps my wife and my dog up at nights. :D

While I may enjoy this, my family members may think that the cure is worse then the disease :)

How would you guard against the placebo effect in a study like this? Get the control group to learn the ukulele?
