This Sunday evening (of course), BRAVO network is presenting a program called "Ireland Rocks: From a Whisper to a Scream" which purports to be a history of Irish music. The little blurb in my on-screen TV guide didn't give any more info than that, but it might be worth a watch. It will be at 8 p.m. MST, but the time may vary in your area. It's on again later Sunday night and again on Monday afternoon.

This looks like an interesting special. A quick Google search turned up some program info on this site:

You're not the only ones......

Hope to upgrade my Direct TV to include BRAVO and there's supposed to be a good Irish program from the Catholic network too on Sunday nite. Can;t think of the name of the gal that's on but guess she's quite the fiddler and dances at the same time. Gm

Well, once again the Canadian Bravo channel offers something a bit different, but our alternative looks interesting. Sunday, March 17 @ 07:00 "Roots of Green" 1995 focuses on the Irish roots of the Ottawa Valley, through its music. Local performers such as Simon Kelly, Donnell Leahy, and Rob Dagenais display their talent and travel to Ireland.

Looks like a good candidate for the VCR.

Seen From a Whisper to a Scream......... watch it you guys. If memory serves me correctly it is more about Phil Lynott, Thin Lizzy and Rory Gallagher and the likes than Finbar Fury or Altan but it is a great show. Possibly even worth a recording!!!
