Boy finds snake in breakfast cereal
A two-foot snake found its way into a packet of breakfast cereal, it emerged today.
Five-year-old Jordan Willett, from Dawley, Shropshire, discovered the live reptile inside his box of Golden Puffs on Bank Holiday Monday.
His mother Theresa, who was having breakfast with her son at the time, said she initially thought it was a free gift for children.

Hm, I read that in today's newspaper. I thought it said it was 6 inches, but I'm rubbish with numbers, a good trait in any engineer. (I must have been tripped up by the centimetre notation.) It was a corn snake, which is non-venomous.
Interestingly, the article in the paper did not mention the particular brand of cereal. I've never bought Golden Puffs, all I know is they've got a weird mutant Fry Kid (tm) on the front. And free snakes.
Edit... Nope, it was 2 feet. Here's an article, with a "sample picture" of an anonymous corn snake.

(what are "Golden Puffs"?)
Missy
Appearance: a close resemblance to styrofoam pellets.
Taste: a close resemblance to styrofoam pellets.
(They're actually like "Puffed Wheat" or "Puffed Rice" cereals in the USA).

Golden Puffs is a puffed-wheat cereal from the Malt-O-Meal folks.

So, what was a cornsnake doing in a wheat cereal?
