C&Fer's CDs

Post by Flyingcursor »

I'd like to get a list of all the regulars here who's made CD's.
Not counting the obvious like Joanie Madden.

Lollycross has 3
Glauber has 1
Steve Shaw has 1
Thurlow and her band have 2 or 3

Who else?
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

I've made one that I sell when working Rennaisance Festivals. They end up being about half my income for those gigs :)

Whistleworks I + II

Post by Brigitte »

Bob Pegritz has made at least two CDs, Whistleworks I released in 2001 and Whistleworks II released 2004. Both nice albums. Whistleworks I got played alot over the years, a small review of it is in one of Dale's Newsletters early 2001, it when it first came out. Whistleworks II just came in this week and we both really like it, too. Nice and relaxed music like the first, again brilliant musicians accompanying Bob, giving it a real band feel. Sound quality superb as the first one was. Can recommend both CDs.

Brigitte

P.S. Hasn't Glauber have two CDs out. We have his earlier one.

Does playing on somebody else's recording as a studio musician count?
2CDs + 1LP

Cheers,

Not sure if the Chiffy Chatroom Christmas CDs count or not, but if they do then that would get a bunch of us on the list.

Also Wyobadger, sadly no longer an active member, has put out at least one CD.

As with Feadan, I'm on other people's records. I've never commercially released my own stuff although I have stacks of stuff recorded somewhere between demo state and almost OK for release state. I'm on a couple of soundtracks of films too obscure to even mention.

I've burned minidisc home recordings onto cd and given them away all over the place. Once, I charged someone $5. Does that count? I even have a compilation cd at this point; a sort of greatest hits thing.

Thanks for reminding me!

A recording of me playing The Clay of Cill Creggan is the opening track on some small-distribution documentary about Druidism. I have a copy of it in my video library ;)

according to the Overton website, Colin Goldie has recorded with several bands in Europe:

~ see "Colin for Rent"

(though he's not as active on C&F as Brigitte, I would say Colin certainly qualifies as an "honorary" C&Fer...)
