tin whistle music to Disney's Robin Hood movie

Post by anniemorton »

I was wondering if any of you had or could come up with the music to two of the songs from Disney's Robin Hood movie.

The first song is the wistle song officiall titled Whistle Stop or Theme 1: here is a RA link to it. http://www.theraven452000.addr.com/tunes/jj71.ram

The second song is known as Oo De Lally. Here is the link for it: http://www.theraven452000.addr.com/tunes/jj70.ram

The parent site of these files is: http://www.theraven452000.addr.com/tunes02.html

And I just like this song :D http://www.theraven452000.addr.com/tunes/jj122.ram

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Thank you - I now have Oo De Lally stuck in my brain!! :boggle: (and yes, before anyone asks - it's painful!! :D )

This brings back memories - I had just graduated from high school when that movie came out and was working at the theater that was showing it, so I got to see it for free.

I looked through the music I have around but nothing from Robin Hood, not even in the one Disney songbook we have.

Roger Miller was the voice of the rooster and I think he wrote most if not all of the songs.

Good luck!

Loved this movie as a kid... (still like it to). :D

Tried picking it out by ear? I would have tried it out and posted the results for you, but my computer speakers are shot and can hardly hear a thing on them. Don't have or know of any whistle sheet music for it, though as has been mentioned, perhaps recorder (*shudder* ;) ) sheet music might help a bit?

Sorry I can't be more helpful... but keep at it as they would be fun songs to whistle.

Happy whistling and welcome to Chiff land!

FWIW (not much), if you speed up that first theme ("Whistle Stop") and add some animated vermin, you get that web sensation from a couple of years back... The Hampster Dance.
