There are open sessions in Little Rock, AR, at the following venues:
Sesame's
3 Rahling Circle (off the Chenal Parkway)
7:00pm - 9:30pm on the 4th Monday of each month.
This is a no-smoking venue. There is excellent food available and we have a lot of fun. Average session size would be about 10 - 12 musicians. The musicians are all extremely friendly, open, welcoming people.
The Flying Saucer
323 President Clinton Blvd (in the Rivermarket District)
7:30pm until we're done on the 2nd Monday of each month.
The Flying Saucer is a bar, and we basically take over the downstairs room with the pool tables. Sessions can get quite large and there is sometimes a smaller group that stays later than the rest. Again, a warm, friendly, open, welcoming session.
These sessions are sponsored by the ACMS (www.celticmusiclive.com).

One more to add:
River Market (during warmer weather months only)
President Clinton Avenue (downtown), in the courtyard just ouside Andina Cafe
10:00 am - 12:00 noon on the 1st Saturday of the month.
This is an outdoor session that averages about 6-8 musicians—the same friendly, welcoming, open people James speaks of. There are lots of good places to get something to eat, and the local Farmer's Market is going on as well. Since this session depends on the weather, check the website (www.celticmusiclive.com) to see whether a session is planned, then look outside your window that morning to make sure it isn't raining!

Re: USA, Arkansas, Little Rock
Update:
The sessions listed above no longer exist.
Little Rock now has a weekly Sunday session at 2:30 pm at Hibernia Irish Tavern, 9700 N Rodney Parham Rd.
In addition, there are usually a couple of house sessions per month--please PM if you are interested in attending one of those.
