BTW, anyone familiar with this flute?

Looks like a keyed version of the Gremlin flute that Hobgoblin use to sell, or?

Tell us something.: Just updating my profile after 16+ years of C&F membership. Sold most of my flutes, play the ones I still own and occasionally still enjoy coming here and read about flute related subjects.

From the description I gather that Eamonn did not make the Boehm lipplate for the flute. The embouchure hole looks very rounded. just wondering how that would affect the tone of the flute?
The embouchure hole on my Cotter flute is very nice and crisp and produces a strong tone.
It's quite a dramatic change to make to a flute...

I just posted off a question to the seller asking for clarification on who made the lip plate. I think that's what he means; he does say that Cotter didn't make the headjoint, but in German it sounds like the "mouthpiece" was changed/added.

Palisander is a nice timber, but I agree that it's a rather radical change.

The flute was purchased without any original headjoint from Eamonn Cotter.
