Is this a scam or legit? Guys says they're 25 yrs. old, Bidding starts for 45.00

The deal looks fishy to me; after you read the fin print. It's definatly not a Woof, Quin, Rowsome or Fromont 1/2 set.

25 years ago, Nothern California, would be just about right for a Wilkinson/McCarthy ½ set. Lark was selling some of these back then. Had one myself! (hehe). Not saying that's what these are but they do look familiar.

They look like a Wilkinson/McCarthy, as sold by Lark in the Morning, who may have had an exclusive for their work. They seem to have dropped out after a couple of years of production. I think Wilkinson dropped out first and some sets were produced by McCarthy alone. Certainly not sought after since, with good reason.
