Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

BTW, this is intended as a céilí in its broader traditional sense, as hinted at in BL's details: if you have a party piece, whether tune, song or recitation, polish it up and give us the pleasure of it!

So true. Good piping weather, though, if you don't mind keeping out of the air conditioning and sweating buckets.

Please to note my location! I spent my first 17 years in Ohio... I didn't like the buckets thing. Mind you I'm very good at it, I just don't care for it. Makes it hard to see! O'course living between the Pacific and a mountain range leads to a form of dampness...

I grew up in Duluth Minnesota, moved to the Twin Cities after graduation in 1980. Nineteen years later I wound up in Central Florida...and I ask you...How the Heck Did THAT Happen!?!

I wish I were up there for the games and the music, but I have to be down here...in school, and in depression big time. One positive thing, however....I have ordered a chanter from Mr. Boisvert, 'Minnesota's' Pipe Maker, and I am counting off the seconds until it arrives...which means, I have exactly.....er...no...I won't bother y'all with the details. :D

Have a blast, and a safe time at the parties tonight my Minnesota brethren and sister...er...en!!! :D :D

*rubs eyes*

...and a good time was had by all. Special thanks to the most excellent Mr. Platt for lending his own sound system for the musicians' use and otherwise helping to expedite the affair.

I hope people enjoyed themselves. Some feedback would be good so we can evaluate the poss. of a next year.

Thanks to Paul McClusky and all his danceing friends who were a big part of the fun.

Thanks Nano for your help on the frets. It's hard to figure out chords when your mic. isn't on the monitors and you can't hear yourself. :o

Put the music under thier feet and lift them to the dance.

Sha, 'twas nothing at all. Some of those hornpipes got tricky, didn't they? Good thing I was familiar with 'em. John can pull out some twisters.
