- Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.
Pictures, Pretty Please (mine, FINALLY!)
While searching the site for threads on American Folk Music I came across this thread:
http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=8315
How about a new run of pictures since there are a TON of new people around. I have a new whistle on the way and I will post my picture once it arrives in a couple of weeks.

Everybody has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

OK, i have a Miyazawa flute with serial number 100 and a Mark Hoza heajoint in Ironwood!JessieK wrote:I have that, too, Glauber.
The Powell wooden flute used to be what i dreamed about, but i took a left turn and went to Baroque flutes instead. These pictures inspired me; i need to take some pictures of my sticks, but i have maybe 10% of what you have in quantity and 1% in value. Here are my main flutes:

C. A. Grenser 1-key by Rod Cameron in blackwood, Cotter 6-key in blackwood, Hammy keyless piccolo in blackwood, M&E keyless PVC, Miyazawa in one of their proprietary metal alloys (pity you can't see the wooden head).

Here's a better picture:

Hee-hee... Runner-up here, with:glauber wrote:We should have a contest: who has stuff that Jessie doesn't? I have a Water Weasel with the plumbing code in it!
- Yvon Le Coant Low D
- Strathmann Alto Flute (F)
- Silvertone whistle by *bleep*y Gruber
Hmm... time for reflection: did I subconsciously pick every high end whistle Jessie didn't own?
PS: Pink sunglasses IS a cutie.
PPS: What's a dog with a beard? A schnauzer? You never know with Internet...

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.
I don't like the Hind ocarina...it smells like varnish and has an uninspired sound. Zub, I am very envious of that Strathmann recorder!
You're right, Loren...Moecks suck. I have a boxwood soprano Fehr recorder that I got sometime in the last year or two, and it's better than those blasted Moecks. I didn't know what I was doing when I first went recorder shopping several year ago.

Do you mean the .sig? That's the tagline from a famous cartoon from the New Yorker. It goes with my avatar. I guess it means that on the Internet you never know really what you're dealing with. Me, for example, for all you know, i could be a 14 year old girl in Beirut, and all this talk about flutes and whistles could be an ellaborate farse. Or i could be the Bubble Boy. Or Davvy Spillane. The Weekenders wrote:Yeah, Glaub, where the heck is the dog?????? Or is that all just self-deprecatin' married guy talk? Been there, done that.
