Can anybody here give me a tin whistle?

Post by ian22 »

:-? I just wanted to have a Waltons Tin whistle in D. Unfortunately, there are no tin whistles available for sale in the Philippines. The nearest retailer is in Australia. I don't have a credit card to buy online, and the saddest thisng is that Mail orders just don't work properly here....

Is anyone here kind enough to give, even if it's already used, i'll gladly accept it.

Please post a note if you are willing..... so that I could send my home address. Tnx

That must be truly frustrating to not be able just to go out and buy a whistle. I hope you can get hold of one. I can't help with a Waltons unfortunately.

I have an extra Walton's brass D laying around.

PM me if interested.

Hi. I can't help out with a Waltons but I can suggest a place where you can buy whistles and whistle CDs and tutors that won't require you to use credit card. You could pay by personal cheque or perhaps by other means. The outlet is Celtic Southern Cross and it's based in Bracknell, in Australia. Check out:
http://www.celt.com.au/

As you will see, you can order online, but if you don't want to order on line, but you do want to order, just email either Mike Watts or Beth Souter and explain your situation to them. I'm sure they will help you as much as they possibly can. You can actually send an order and explain in an accompanying note any problems you have in paying. They will process your order and help you if they possibly can.

Tell us something.: I've been playing whistle for a very long time, but never seem to get any better than I was about 10 years ago. I'm okay with that. :)

Hi. Send me your address and I'll send you a brass Feadog w/green mouthpiece I have. It's not the best whistle, but it's not too bad.

The Walton's Mello-D are nice but I don't have one at the moment.

This is the kind of bald-faced, unabashed, shameless request which I find absolutely charming and irresistable. Let me know if no one else comes through for you and I'll send you a Waltons.

Can't help - sorry.

I sent all my spare whistles to Cuba - same situation.
No whistles were harmed in the transmission of this communication.

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

I was on Ebay the other day. There was this REALLY cool Copeland Brass D offered there. I tried REALLY hard to get it, but I could not bid high enough. :sniffle:

So, if anyone would be so kind as to send me their Copeland Low D I would be ever so grateful to them for that. I really NEED one so bad.

I also missed the Copeland High D and C in nickle that was offerred. That might be asking for too much at this time though. :o I will check back later for those.

No good. I tried to hit Dale for a whistle, but he wouldn't even give me a measly Rose or Sindt. He really lost all contact with his proletarian roots.

Kid, you need to raise your sights a bit.

Oh, heck. I don't have a Walton either, but send me your mailing address and I'll send you a Brassy Polly - you pick the colour.

What does THAT have to so with the price of tea in China, where undoubtedly, there are Americans living and celebrating Thanksgiving as well.
