Tell us something.: I used to play pipes about 20 years ago and suddenly abducted by aliens.
Not sure why... but it's 2022 and I'm mysteriously baack...

Interesting, to say the very least. Since the entire article is one large jpg image, the online language translators won't work.

:o
This instrument (" Bagpipe Cow") was made by a french bagpipe maker : "Henry Lefaure"... there are 2 ebony chanters + 5 drones , but I don't know how they can push on the bag (the body of the cow) and how they can inflate it (to swell it?)
it's officially the bigest bagpipe in the world !

Sorry for my english...

Loïc

ps: the name of the Cow was "Noctule"... R-I-P

Loïc, your English is perfect.
Thanks for the help. Yeah, what do you think they use to pump air into the bag?

These bags are usually rested against a wall and the player pushes his back against it,good old fashioned puff to blow it up.Once inflated it is relatively easy to keep it so!!Examples of this type of bagpipe are found throughout Europe.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.
