Here is an old German piccolo for sale, marked “HAMMERSCHMIDT/BURGAU SCHWABEN/KLINGSON”. The brand is still active today (http://www.karl-hammerschmidt-klarinetten.de/).
It´s made of Grenadilla African blackwood, metal head joint with synthetic (possibly ebonite) lip plate, good original conditions. Cleaned and oiled.
Maybe it´s not clear from the pictures but it has a proper tuning slide. Plays at modern pitch.
To get a good jump between the first and second octave (I´m not very experienced with the third) with my embouchure the cork stopper would need to be placed higher that its normal position (making the top of the second octave notes flatter), which would make the endcap extend over the edge of the head joint tube. Reducing the length of the threaded rod that connects the stopper to the endcap would solve this aesthetical problem, however with other flute players it may work well with the original stopper position, so you would have to experiment yourself.
I´m selling it for 190 euros shipping included.
