Eibhlin De Paor, flute player

Post by jemmoore »

From our trip itinerary: ~ "Mid Morning: Head to Castleisland for Patrick O’Keeffe Music Festival & Eibhlín De Paor Interview
Plays with Connie O’Connell. "

Such a brief note about a wonderful time sitting with Eibhlin and Connie in a local pub, between sets at the festival. They were both so gracious, and we felt incredibly lucky to sit and listen while they shared their music. The local pub-goers were quite appreciative....

hmmm...I just clicked on it and it worked, but I'll repost it in the hopes you can access it here:

If anyone else has trouble, be sure and let me know, this is my first time uploading a video to FB itself instead of linking from Vimeo, and I want to know how it works out, thanks!

Working for me now. Must have been sunspots, or maybe just my antique, wind-up computer. Sorry for any anxiety.

Enjoying the video series and being introduced to players I haven't experienced previously.

Best wishes.

Thank you so much for posting this series of videos it is great to see and hear these players in such a high standard of film. I look forward to seeing more.

Could you please provide the names of the Eibhlin's tunes if you have them and indeed forthcoming ones.. My Tunepal seems to be totally confused.

Many thanks

After thinking a bit I arrived at the title for the first jig: a composition of Connie Connell's, Bóithrín na Smaointe (Memory Lane)
The second one is a version of The Frost is all over with a nice little twist in it.
The first reel is the Flowing Bowl
The second reel is The Boy on the Hilltop

[edited to amend the identification of the first tune]
My brain hurts
