best thread/hemp for chanter top

That time of the year when the hemp on chanter top needs less or full new hemp for inserting into the chanter stock on bag.

Andreas Rogge uses red vembroidery hemp/thread with rub of red wax from cheese.

I have used embroidery hemp/thread before by colour is green
waxed polyamide thread
I have been using Black waxed hemp by Coats Barbour

Any other type suited for chanter top.
Flat tape type thread.

I have used this stuff or similar stuff for tying chanter stock on bag.

Will this stuff work on the swan neck tube on my Rogge chanter top to connect into chanter stock. This heavy duty waxed flat thread will need rub with wax.
