I recently came across this vintage brass penny whistle and would love to know who the manufacturer is. It is in the key of "B" and has a band with writing, but I'm not even sure what language it is.
Any help would be much appreciated

First, a (possible) Lead Fipple Block Warning. Please don't play this without first coating the block. Or don't play it at all. Lead poisoning is not worth it. (And you can buy an inexpensive lead testing kit if you want to be sure.)
The script is Devanagari. So Hindi?
I'm wouldn't be so sure that this is a vintage whistle. The fipple design and two-piece tube look like a knockoff of a more modern whistle. But others may know better.

I had a feeling the block was lead - don't worry, I didn't even think of playing it. Just wanted to try and determine the origin

In the late 60's (in Sweden) there was a small boom for Indian whistles, both metal and bamboo. This one looks like those of that era, crude holes and all.

My uncle had a pot metal one with a swastika logo (i know it's an ancient symbol) still it was a good laugh and referred to as the nazi whistle. It played somewhere between C and C# reasonably in tune with itself actually.
