The intent of my original post was to thank Dale for helping me to meet so many people off the board. While Dale and Rich both do a superb job here, it's the friendships I've made in the real world that are the true blessings.

Dale, I think you caught what I was getting at.

I don't know about all these accolades for Mr./Dr. Wisely... if it wasn't for him, I'd have a lot more money in my bank accounts!!!

Seriously, though, Dale, thank you for opening a whole new world of music to me and my wife and grandchildren!!!!

And thank everyone here at C&F for being here always...

If it were not for this site I might not have stuck with it. I have learned so much and found much encouragement here. I havn't been posting much in the last year but I've been here watching and learning.
We should also show appreciation for Dale's family. I'm sure having a mad genius in the house can not be easy.

Dale,
To you for fathering warmth in a wonderfull community and
to each member of our community.

Thanks for:

The gentle nudge here, there, balanced.
The irreverent breaks in the serialness of life,
The Heartsong rediscoverd,
The stage to spin a thought or two.
The hearts met in tune and word.
The moments to reflect, to see, to feel, to chance, a richness lost and recovered.
The sense of connection that is more than words.
The ignition of passion for the pursuit, the pursuit of passions.
The Amazing Grace stretched across a nation at a time of unknown terror, known loss.
The channel where traditions speak to new ages.
The welcome porch to music's home.

Dale, my wish,
for you and all here gathered,
that you and yours always ...

Dale, you Da Undisputed Man. I've said it privately by e-mail and am only too happy to repeat it here publicly.

And thanks also to the less-visible but indispensible Rich who, for all we know, may be the Undisputed Cutie-Pie (over to the gals to check that one out).

I'll be largely incommunicado over the Christmas hols, but I'll be thinking of y'all even while I'm off-line, and that's largely due to the combined efforts of our two heroes, but in particular the tone set by Dr Wisely Wisely on the home page, which I found almost by accident almost a year ago.

I grew up in Georgia (right next to Alabama, for the geographically challenged), and we used to talk about the best thing to ever come out of Alabama -- Interstate 20! But now I have to think that C&F comes in a close second....

Thanks Dale!

Tell us something.: From the land beyond beyond. From the time past hope and fear. I bid you, Genie, now appear! Well, the Genie did not appear but the notification to type at least 100 characters did so I am back and typing some more as you, if anyone actually sees this, can probably tell.

Hooray for C&F, it's Captain, his Number One, the whole crew and all who sail in her!

May the occasional flames serve only to melt the icebergs that might otherwise impede our progress.

Engine room... more speed...

There be WHISTLES here!!

Sorry to be a plonker but I think that should be 'bragh'. Perhaps spelling differs from place to place.

Oh my god, the Spelling Cop is back!!!!
