I was born on a Tuesday. All indicators suggest it ought to have been a Thursday (per Walden's version, which is the one I've always gone by. Sorry, MarkB. I'm just too darn old to change at this point in the game)

  Okay.....I think you will understand if I say... that.... this hasn't really clarified WHAT THE DEAL IS WITH MONDAY'S CHILD!!! You mean Monday's child has a pointed nose? Dude, what are you trying to do to me?
Not necessarily a pointed nose. I was thinking more along the lines of full tire vs flat tire. Perhaps "inflated" is a better word. "Monday's Child has an inflated head."

Finally! I don't think anyone would have gotten that! Or been so persistent in trying. Geez! A swollen head? Well, I was born on Tuesday anyway.

Feb 14, 1958 was a Friday. I went here to get the calculation:

Since every comment I made was a stream-of-consciousness reply, I don't think anyone would've gotten, either.

In all honesty, I simply meant full face as opposed to flat face (hence the reference to your dog).

On second thought, I think I'll go with the "your avatar looks like it has the trots" explanation. Yeah, that's what I meant. Really.

I used to know how to do that...

Then they added a function to the compiler.

Life is so much better now.

I'm a Friday's child. My wife keeps telling me I'm full of sh*t. I've told her the poem doesn't say that.

Steve
"Last night, among his fellow roughs,
He jested, quaff'd and swore."

They cut me down and I leapt up high
I am the life that'll never, never die.
I'll live in you if you'll live in me -
I am the lord of the dance, said he!

Sunday's child is full of grace,
Monday's child is full in the face,
Tuesday's child is solemn and sad,
Wednesday's child is merry and glad,
Thursday's child is inclined to thieving,
Friday's child is free in giving,
And Saturday's child works hard for a living.
What's that, the p.c. version? This is how it goes:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for its living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

I was born on a Wednesday.
I've always heard Walden's version.

I'm Monday.

Several years ago Avon sold necklaces with these verses on them. I just found mine yesterday while cleaning out my jewelry box.
