Nice! Amazing what just a whistle and guitar can do when they ditch the orchestra.

Bonjour Jacob!
Thanks for chiming in and providing some sound samples!
Now if you are desperately bored someday soon i'd be overjoyed to see pics of a Proux high D, something to look at until october when mine's finished :)

A pleasure listening to the playing; the high D Gandalf has me a bit excited and here I thought my WHOA had been cured. Materials? Nickel or sterling? Delrin or blackwood?

The black Gandalf serie consists in anodized aluminum for the black parts, chromed brass for the chromed parts and a kind of resin for the bevel.

Just wanted to point out that the soprano whistle being played in this video is not a Jacky Proux whistle but a Goldfinch whistle!!

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Goldfinc ... 6251801621

They mention this video on their page

"Dear friends,
Here you go a brilliant performance of Celtic Rivers Orchestra: Shannon band with traditional Irish tunes (and more!) backed with a powerful classical section and - visually - by dancers. A grand scale experience, indeed!

We are very proud of our Goldfinch High D we made for the starring whistle virtuoso Marcin Rumiński"

Here is another video of Marcin Ruminski playing the Goldfinch solo.

Cheers!
