Here's Ben Wang and Lesl Harker trying out a couple of them:

I've sent Lesl a message requesting the tune name (in case MTGuru doesn't post the answer first, as I expect he will).

Correction: The players are Mike Hogan and Lesl Harker.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I have a Clare two piece. I love the portability of it, seems just the right size to me. It fits in my pocket when I want to have a hidden
whistle on me and I can store it in the compartment of my guitar case when I am not using it. :D

Only one word can describe a tweaked Clare two-piece, AWESOME!
I should practice guitar now. Hey a whistle... :tomato:

Here are the soundclips Peter Maguire recorded day before yesterday:

Freeman Tweaked two-piece D Clare pocket whistle, Martin Muhlaire's Reel
Freeman Tweaked two-piece D Clare pocket whistle, Martin Muhlaire's Reel

As I'm getting to know this whistle better, what stands out is that it has a velvety timbre, somewhat like the Mark I Feadogs. I believe that comes through in the clips. And I think it may be a little less loud than a typical D whistle.

Best wishes,
Jerry

Tell us something.: Well, just trying to update my avatar after a decade. Hope this counts! Ok, so apparently I must babble on longer.

Jerry - velvety is a great way to describe it. It may be a tad less loud, but it carries fine and is just a wonderful sounding whistle. I would not call it quiet, though, but it is definitely not loud, either.
