"Thanks Thomas,
yeah it sold very quickly, going just down the road from my "home of record", i felt doubling my investment was sufficient. Sad to see her go, in ways, but tis time and i'm not one to have more than one flute, got a morvan, suits me better, though the Wilkes is certainly mighty. appreciate your take on it and i've signed up for another year here that should be enough, lots of water here, just gotta get it outa the ground and distribute it, no small task. amazing place, and a grand flute tradition among the travellers here, yes there are travellers. in pashto logar shpelay "wooden flute".
Hope you and yours are doing well!
bil

I admire your strength of character Bil, one flute, I'm not there yet, still in hoarding mode I'm afraid. Another year of positive work, good karma there, but keep alert. That's interesting that the flute is a part of the Traveller tradition over there. In Ireland I've only come across one of the Rainey's brothers who used the timber flute. We're doing fine now, my daughter was in a very bad way, but is now doing fine, had snow last week but spring is coming. We're off to visit another daughter on "Murder Mile" in Hackney, London later today. Stay cool

Who on Earth bought that flute? I'd REALLY like to know who's the lucky guy.

Tell us something.: in two words, Rudall & Rose. but since a minimum of 100 characters is required, I should list a number of makers I found extremely interesting… I don't even know how much are 100 characters...

As the plane flies over my desert island, I'm waving my hands and shouting "Me!" A good deal for both me and Bil, who has my admiration and best wishes. Will post a picture. Steve "Libraryman" Clarke

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.
