After some thought, and knowing more about trees than the average person (BS Forestry), I would have to say I'm an oak (undetermined species as yet, but I'll let you know when it becomes apparent just WHAT oak).

1) I hang on to things long after they're useless.
2) I during my youth a lot more was going on underground than up in the light.
3) I tend to branch off into various interests that really don't go anywhere.
4) I'm a little nutty sometimes.
if i were an oak, i'd have to be a quercus alba. that's the oak they use for maturing whisky. ;)

I'd have to say the Colorado Blue Spruce. Growing up in Duluth Minnesota, we had several of these leviathans growing in our yard. One of my fondest memories is sitting at the living room window and watching the neighborhood Great Horned Owls land on them, bending their tops toward the ground. It was a mesmerizing sight.

Tree as me

Post by BigDavy »

I think I would be a mango tree. I love the fruit and the fruit is the right shape for me.

David, I am not certain if you meant that to be funny, but I sure got a good chuckle out of it. :D

Mango

Post by BigDavy »

Hi Joseph

It was meant to be both accurate and funny. I am distinctly mango shaped. (One of the huge amazonian ones. My username on the forum is all too accurate).

Lemon. Please refer to Peter, Paul, and Mary and place emphasis on the last phrase of the refrain.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

A Sassafrass Tree - they can't decide which design of leaf is best so they put out three. Lovely to look at at certain stages of life, while messy and disheveled at others, shelter their own offspring forever... smell great when you get close enough, have therapeutic properties but too much is too much... a perfect match!
