well, to my ears nothing i've heard from the cd samples sounds so weird or even so terrible. i studied (& wrote) weirder stuff as a comp student in music school. i personally had no problem following up listening to chieftains with webern or gamelan music or the AACM guys or whatever. probably just me though...
