Paid for but not yet recieved. I must say all this is worrying me a little.
I have had an email from the seller today telling me he's waiting for my payment to clear before posting out the pipes to me.
I payed by credit card through Paypal. I couldn't pay all in one transaction because it was over 10,000 USD which is not possible through Ebay transaction like this. I still used paypal but NOT through Ebay.
I suppose this kind of thing goes on a lot on Ebay :-?

i am confused too. if this is a fraud, how come it said that the seller had 44 sales with 100% positive feedback? do these people actually orchestrate bogus sales before doing the big scam?

Benwalker,

I bought a CR halfset (5 drones) from Germany that was on Ebay. The price was $2070.00. I used Escrow Europa (recommended and approved by Ebay) for an escrow purchase (Seller doesn't ship until escrow has money, Seller doesn't get money until Buyer receives product and tells escrow it is as expected. If Buyer says this is crap and ships back to Seller, Buyer doesn't get money back from escrow until Seller says he received item back in expected condition. Protects both Buyer and Seller.).

This service cost me $78.00. I think it was worth it. This info is probably too late for your transaction, but you do have protection for fraudulent transactions through Paypal and your credit card. Just because some scum has hijacked the sellers auction to try and sucker someone into sending him money, it doesn't mean that the real seller is dishonest. It sounds like Jim knows this person, I would probably take a deep breath and start exercising your right arm to keep up with all those reeds you are going to be pumping.

Good Luck and may scummy, dishonest people get what they are due.

John

By the way, Paypal payment can take 5 or 6 days to show up in the sellers account.

I agree, if Jim says the seller is sound, then that's all I need to hear. The other auction has to be a scam and shouldn't affect you in any way.

It takes a day or two to get a response, or to get the item deleted. It's an automated system through ebay. Report the item # as stolen and the listing will automatically disappear within a day or two.

If you look at the recent sales from the apparent E-bay seller in Syracuse, he mainly trades in parts for Suzuki motorcycles. Ill bet he knows nothing about this scam and his E-bay account is somehow being used by the conman without his knowledge.
The conman wants you to contact him at his yahoo e-mail address, not through e-bay.
