Saw them play last year in Tonder, Denmark and it made goose bumps all over, here is a couple from Celtic Connections this year with the same effect to me when listening to it

Not strictly a whistling vid, but I love Michael McGoldrick's playing in this song...gives it such a lovely, haunting quality.

Tell us something.: I'm facinated by the simplicity and the ability of the irish whistle. I use it mainly for accent while recording music.

I thought I might share with you a recent sunrise over Lake Superior in Minnesota. I recorded the background music using a Chieftain Whistle.

Here two versions of my band playing Fiesta Pagana by Mago de Oz.
We had a show last friday and when we played it whe violin didn't work, so we got a second chance with a working violin.
I'm playing a blackwood Oz whistle here.

Hey Greg, that was really nice, thanks! I listened and watched the video at the end of the day, and it fit the mood well then too-a very easy listen. I like the sunrise footage-nice touch. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Take care, Barry

I'm a total newbie to the tinwhistle, been playing about 2 weeks!! Here's my first video!

Amazing Grace ~ Generation High D Tinwhistle

I'm eager to learn a more Irish style... I just got in the mail (today!) McCullough's The Complete Irish Tinwhistle Tutor, so I'm rolling. :D

Thanks!

My fingers have to be tight together to cover the holes.

Hi Folks!!

I got a new Chieftain High D whistle and I'm really loving it. I did a couple more video tunes!

Dawning Of The Day - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-LIeAzbgoc
Long Long Ago - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFU1jiqcgb0

I'm slowly building my repertoire :)

Peace,

Music from Braveheart played on a Generation Bb whistle:

I recorded it in Audacity. The mix is not too good and the middle section is very odd, but that's James Horner's fault, not mine!

James Galway playing Lord of the Rings

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZIDzoTA ... annel_page

And a bit of traditional music:

Galway's style is very Scottish rather than Irish.
Maybe that's a Northern Irish thing.
