Bit of a harsh topic... :sniffle:

Showing me what appears to be a super and "wickedly spiced" sandwich, getting me all drewly and hungry! But nowhere to buy this monster... So, what you will have to do is this: get into a sort of James Bond mood, get the exact recipy and mail this to me as soon as possible.

Most of the stuff on Roadfood is deliciously toxic. Wouldn't touch it with a twelve foot push pole.

I saw one of those made on the Travel channel a while back. I thought it looked good. If the options existed, I would like the bread toasted and the meats grilled. The olive salad sounded great.

I would share this with at least one other person though. Those super huge ginormous foods that people eat in a time limit to win a T-shirt and a picture on the wall of victory are decadent and the people who create them are no better. Less is more.

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Just like doug, I like big ones. I'm also really partial to a good tart or a bit of crumpet.

Me too, and a nice bit of crackling to go with it.

For food, one of my favorite meals is Lamb kebab ( meat, skewer, fire) sprinkled heavily with sumac on naan with a spicy mint and cilantro chutney on the side. This can be served with a small side salad with a lemon dressing, Gunpowder tea with cardamom, and Doogh. For desert Baklava using honey and rose water and more tea.

I find butter to be perfectly adequate. But as long as you've got something to make them nice and juicy ...

Cheerwine.

When Krispy Kreme sold doughnuts filled
with Cheerwine "kreme"... heaven. Sadly,
it was only for a limited time.

I like cheese. All kinds of cheese except for some kinds of stinky cheese. I'm partial to the buttery, creamy kinds.

Cheerwine and Carolina Barbecue from Salisbury, NC. The best I85 roadfood.

A nicely seasoned (but not TOO spicy) lentil dal, served with rice and garlic naan. This is food perfection.

Marinated chicken breast kabob with basmati rice and flat bread.
I've never met a whistle I didn't want.

I buy Rouses Olive Salad in the quart jars, as shown. I also use other olive spreads that I find at Trader Joe's. The other ingredients in the muffaletta sandwich can be purchased at most deli markets.
