"Band" name suggestion?

Post by bayswater »

Hi there, from time to time I play together with a couple of friends - in all we are a flute (me), a fiddle, a bodhran (he switches to contrabass on slow tunes :-)) and a guitar. We play old-school session style music and we are as amateurish as it gets. But - and I guess that's the main/best reason to play music altogether - we enjoy ourselves and have a lot of fun with it :-) Ok, so a couple of weeks ago we were "hired" to play a few sets at a birthday party. And then it struck us - what to call us?! I would love for a "band" name to reflect the kitchen-session-amateur-music we play :-)

Any great ideas are welcome! :-)

All the best,
Brian

Oops. Sorry, I missed the Kitchen connection. After re-reading your post, I'd like to change my suggestion:

This is creepy. I could have written that first post almost entirely. The only instrument missing is a squeezebox, and our band's initial gig wasn't a birthday party. OK -- there are differences.

But for quite the same reasons as you describe, a promising candidate name was actually "at the kitchen table" (but then in Dutch). Since the jury demoted that one to the title for our first album (yet to come...), you can have the English version, if you want.
