Why are you wasting Dale's web space this way? If you're trying to bump posts off the bottom of the page, it's pretty pointless...people are just going to go around your empty posts to get to the ones they haven't read (and it's not your place to do this in any case).

I don't know what Dale and Rich's policy is, but on the sites I administer, this kind of thing would be grounds for a warning and possible banning.

It's pointless. If there are objectionable threads (and I agree that some have gotten pretty nasty), it makes more sense to ask Rich to delete them. This just wastes space.

Taking action is risky buisness. Talk about wasted space, there has been plenty of that lately.

It's also bothersome (for me, at least) at this time of the evening, when I have to share the computer. I get a few minutes to log onto C&F and find most of the last couple of days posts bumped into the "unread" zone, even though there's been no new content. I clicked on three before realized they'd all been artificially bumped.

We're all big kids here. If there are objectionable threads, ask to have them removed (or, if they're yours, lock them) and let's get on with life.

Regardless of reasons, it's called "flooding the board" and I don't know about chiff, but in every other message board I've been to, it's an automatic-ban offense. I'd go back and delete those things if I were you.

hmmmm........
Light spills into the hidden valley,
Illuminating the falls, paths, and
The breathtaking Elvish dwelling
Set back among great trees.
Lilting strains of Elven songs fill my heart;
I am finally home.

Wow...the mood of the board is really getting pissy lately.

I mean, people are getting upset about almost anything anymore. Whatever happened to whistle talk?

Sorry Redwolf for bumping this, but I think with the record cold over most of North America and the storms throtling the continent, everybody is getting cabin fever or SAD - season adjustment disorder.

It's only explanation I can come up with.

The weather, indeed! And now the 50/50 chance that the Mid-Atlantic states could get hit with the BIG ONE this Sunday! :cry:
