[Edited because I wasnt that wise after all ]

Well, yesterday I have found out about what "happened" to Ava, and I found myself being furious about it. A few years ago, I would have lashed out at people. But I guess I'm getting older, my belly is gettin' bigger and some white hair's showing up on my head! Am I gettin' wiser? Hopefully! Anyway, the goal of this message is to let people know why I do really appreciate Ava's presence on the board. (sorry for the unperfect english, french bein' my primary language!)

There's one thing I feel about Beth, it's her passion for irish music. She helped me a few times with tune titles, and is always willing to help out of interest for the music. Unlike me, she's always trying to avoid fights, and seems to be someone we can rely on. I'm just very glad she's on board. As stated below in a "future" post, I can't wait to spend some time with her in july

Anyway, that's the reason why I think she didnt deserve being put down, especially by the people who did it.

Whenever I get on the chat Friday and Saturday nights, there are a few names I always anticipate seeing on the list. One of those names is "Ava".

Beth has always been a great source of encouragement to me, and I enjoy chatting with her. Keep the faith and keep up the good work!

(Edited to add that I have not followed the thread which started the controversy, so please don't accuse me of taking sides! Just because I like Beth doesn't mean I dislike everyone who doesn't agree with her.)

le gra,
Jim

Jessie,
This is a rhetorical question. I'm not asking you to answer out loud.
Can you love yourself and admit that you are not perfect too? This is a lesson that has taken me 50+ years to learn.

Well I think.....hold on...... haven't I read this somewhere else today?

may be it time for us all to take a step back for a minute or two.

I don't think these threads are helping, if we need to show someone support how about a PM? ....if you want to slate me for this go ahead because today and the last few days its almost become a witch hunt,
and when it comes down to it there are far more important things

So how about an amnesty for a few days?
Richard.

IF YOU FEEL A NEED TO SLATE THIS PLEASE PLEASE EMAIL - WE DON'T BITE.

Yikes, I'll post here then. I contacted AZ off board and suggested that we don't need to criticise one person in order to encourage another. We disagree.

That said, I'll simply post here that I'd suggest we encourage where appropriate, but not cheapen it with criticism of others.

Jef
EDITED to add that I see Az has now deleted what I was grumbling about.
Thanks Az.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to spend the week with Ava at the Willie Clancy festival. The only thing that's bogging me about her is that she's not drikin', but then, I might end up with free beer (I've got a planified strategy!).

I don't really know Beth (I've always wondered where avanutria came from, but was worried about getting yelled at by one of the old-time porch sitters if I asked ), but she seems very nice. I would have to say that I like her.

I don't know you very well... but you'll be in my thoughts. Best of luck.
