Would this man, sadly deceased, be a decendant of the pipemakers?

Re: Michael Crowley RIP
Tadhg's son, never took up the pipe making but ran the music shop on McCurtain Street, the shop would have fantastic displays in the windows including some pipes(Uilleann and Highland), drums and pipe making tools as well as brass name plates from the old workshop, he will sadly be missed in Cork.

Last time I saw Michael we chatted for hours about His Father and Michaels memories. I am very sad to hear that he has left us. I would always stop in for a chat when in Cork. I will miss him

Re: Michael Crowley RIP
I visited the Crowley's shop last summer. Owning myself a original Crowley set and a Hubbert set based on a Crowley set, always wanted to visit the shop. The people in the shop kindly introduced me to Michael and he told me a lot of intersting story about his father, the shop and about the Kennedys. This summer I visited the shop again but couldn't meet him.
I am very sorry to hear the news.

Re: Michael Crowley RIP
I also met Michael several years ago while I was walking the streets of Cork. I noticed the name of the shop Crowleys" and walked in. I asked an employee if there were any ties to the famous Uilleann pipe makers and the employee directed me to Michael. He and I chatted for a while, and he spoke of his father and uncle and his recollections as a young boy of hearing pipers come in often. He was very happy to talk about his family's past and proud to know that people are still making music with Crowley made uilleann pipes.
Alain Fromment mentioned to me that he purchased some equipment from the family after they stopped making pipes, and he also purchased a dozen of so large african blackwood posts which dated back to the war when all non war related shipping nearly ceased and they sat on the docks for ages. He saved these 50-60 year old posts for the most special of all his sets. When Alain told me this, about 5 years ago, he had three or so left.

Funny, Michael told me about that load of blackwood, he remembered the delivery! Some of them were huge! He was very proud of his father and no doubt so is Sheena of her father , a gentleman.
Well, the shop is in capable hands thats for sure!
