Spanish, Spanish flutes are better than German and English ones.

Tell us something.: To paraphrase Mark Twain, a gentleman is someone who knows how to play the spoons and doesn't. I'm doing my best to be a gentleman.

That's as close as we're likely to get.

Simon Polak I believe is Dutch and makes killer baroque flutes. Definitely rooting for the Oranje.

Spanish flutes are ideal if you only want to play ONE tune, right at the very end of the session.

Agreed.
I still prefer german flutes most of the times, it's a pity that towards the end of the session they stop playing properly...

Yeah, Baroque and Boehm, somehow that's what we're good at.

Lots of potential they have, but of course it's second to ideal.

Then again, my esteem of English whistle players has also lowered a little these days...

Oh, well. Good thing I don't care much for music ;)

There are times when the 'stiff upper lip' advice doesn't apply, it seems.

Well, that's great when you only need to play ONE tune, to close the session with a good flute solo!
