CP: Craicdown CD finally available!

Post by Rob Sharer »

At last!

Image

Craicdown, my band with David DiGiuseppe and Jim Roberts, finally has a CD available for purchase. As you can see, the title is "Roads", which is also the name of one of the original songs on the record. It's about 60% instrumental, with two of the tracks being flute sets, one of which is the Monaghan Jig set which has been in my sig line for many moons (the remixed version sounds WAY better). Additionally, there is some bamboo fluting, low whistling, etc., throughout the production.

Currently, we're handling all the sales ourselves, so if you want one right away send me a PM and we'll make the necessary arrangements (I take Paypal!). I will post details here as other channels open up - CDBaby, etc.

Sound samples and more info HERE.

Cheers,

Rob

I've seen Craicdown in performance here in Raleigh. Great band! This one's coming into my collection right away. :)

Cheers, Rob! Listened to all the clips...very cool, very eclectic. I'd pay good money to see you guys; coming out to Northern California? Your singing reminds me of Ian Anderson (is that how he spells it?), from, of course, Jethro Tull. You got the great fluting as well. I have a project/band I'm working on which combines half tunes/half songs; the fiddler has done Celt rock and I've done pop so we may move in a similar direction. Great to have an example of how it's done well.

Best of luck,

jason

Thanks, Akiba!

There's nothing I'd like better, personally, than a professional excuse to come out to Northern California. I lived in San Fran for a short bit, and have nothing but fond memories of the place. Feel free to send along any tips you might have about good places to play out there.

Cheers,

Rob

Sounds good, looks good. And those CD thingies make great weapons if thrown just right. Congrats, Rob!

But you really must have done something terrible to tee off your bandmates. It's obvious they've strung you up in a tree and left you dangling:

Actually, Jim Roberts is both a percussionist and a conjurer...in the photo, he's just summoned me forth from his Shekere.

Mine arrived today. Stunning, Rob --- and I'm not just angling for another free lesson. Really, really good!

Your original take on 'So Lonesome I Could Cry' is worth the price of admission. Every track is, actually.

Folks, try this one on faith. You'll wear it out.

Looking forward to hearing it, Rob. Do you have any idea yet what other channels will be available, i.e. direct downloads like iTunes or eMusic?
