Out here in New Jersey, we are having significant snowfall. Not sure how much has fallen, but I'm guessing five to six inches. Since they don't plow roads early enough for morning commuters, our roads are terrible. I went out, turned around, and came back home. Called out from work.
Snow Day! I haven't had one of these in years!
I'm going to drink lots of coffee, watch my first season DVDs of Buffy, and play my guitar.
So, if YOU'RE snowed in today, what's your plan?

Another Buffster!

In London we only need a light dusting of frost, or maybe a light drizzle, and it's chaos.

Unfortunately today was fine & dry, so we all made it to work without major broken bones. Grrrr

Have a great chilling out day!

Six+ inches here in the mountains; for the first time this winter, it's nice, powdery snow. Don't have a plan (that would make it too much like a work day!) but there might be a toboggan in there somewhere (the sled kind, not the hat kind)...and who knows, maybe an extra dose of whistle practice...enjoy the day, y'all!

I'm taking a personal day too. Sometimes I bring work home if it looks like snow, but I'm all caught up (praise be!).

No music, though, except for Bach and other Baroque tunes on the CD changer--I'm catching up on a freelance proofreading assignment that has to be shipped out Monday. Fascinating stuff--physician compliance guidelines for Medicaid and Medicare. Yummy! Pays for more whistles, though...

Well shoot. Where's ours? Some places around here have had their fill, I guess, but not us.

Ah, Bloomie, of COURSE I'd charge a fellow fippler. Unless you paid in whistles.

Give me some ms. and its page proofs, plus $14/hour (that's what this outfit is paying), you pay FedEx both ways, and we're good to go.

Who knew their were Buffy fans here?

I'm only a very recent watcher of the program. I invited some friends down a few weekends back for dinner, and Bob bought me the first season on DVD. What a cool gift! We were both big fans of The X-Files, but I haven't followed any TV serial since. He claimed it would hook me, I am enjoying it immencely and would buy the other seasons on DVD.

Maybe I should change my username to Willow.

We got about 8 inches here, which pretty well kept me from going anywhere. I did bring my computer home from work, knowing this was coming, but apparently everyone else did the same thing, so I couldn't even dial into the network! So my wife and I went out and built a 2-headed snowman instead.

Now everything's plowed, so we're free to go out this evening!

Where is your spirit, people?! We got 8+ inches of snow while I was at work, I went and picked up the two kids, and drove to the pizza place. Blasted my way into my (unplowed) driveway with my little Escort wagon, where it still sits because I couldn't make it all the way up. Waiting for hubby to come home from his business trip--no way to snowblow while watching these two bundles of energy. I guess New Englanders are just made of sterner stuff.... Anyways, it had tapered off by the time I left work, so the roads weren't too too bad by that time.

Actually, I had no idea this was coming....

*sigh* I'm a Southerner of some several generations (shhh! I don't tell that to just anyone up here) and I still think of anything more than three inches of snow as a reason to go to bed and pull the covers up over my head. I'm told that if I developed an interest in skiing I'd have a reason to enjoy the snow, but I'm too cheap to pay for lift tickets. Maybe cross-country...
