Hey, wow you guys are awesome! I didn't know I had all these posts- thanks!

Lots of Great advice! I thought I heard of that Duponol stuff before. I'll check for it locally but if not in town I'll go to the website you mentioned- thanks!

I have all Burkes- all brass/aluminum, but now hearing of the other materials, I may consider getting another D in his composite material. (I got the large bore D in brass- and its always seemed to have a weak higher register.)

You know, I did learn that sucking in seemed to be the most efficient and silent way to clear clogging- and I was quite happy using that method, but then I got a cold with a nasty respiratory infection and eventually had to get some antibiotics to get rid of it- Yikes! So ever since I've been thinking I got it from my whistles! Maybe sanitizing them often is going to be important~?

Hey that was pretty good about flicking your whistle in church just missing the folks- ha ha!
Thanks for all your posts- too bad some of you don't live in my area- then maybe I could have someone to learn how to play these things with!

Tongue less, as in use less tonguing for articulation. I suppose tongueless might work too. :P

Only if your whistles are alive or you habitually let others play them. The moisture in the tube comes from you - your breath is moist because of the water vapor it picks up in your lungs. That moist air from your lungs is what condenses inside your whistle. More likely you got the bug from the door handle to your office or the shopping mall.

What would a wild walrus whistle if a walrus could whistle wild?

With all due respect, I was really hoping that Hypnotoad was history.

HypnoToad has me so disoriented I posted in the wrong place. Must log off now...about to fall out of my chair...got the munchies too...where are those brownies?...

Seriously, I've tried to link to a topic three times now in the above sentence and can't get anything other than an error message when I click the link I created. How do I link to another post? It's the eyes.... :boggle:
