Sorry to report that Dale is actually in hospital at the moment, and expects to be there through later this week. But he's alert and receiving the best of care. He has no internet access for now, and I'm sure we don't want to clog his mobile e-mail. So I'll pass along all your good wishes to cheer him up, and I'll be sure to keep you posted on his progress.

Thanks!

My wife has had pneumonia a couple of times. You can beat it, Dale. Forget that Chicken Soup nonsense. Lentil Stew! That's the thing. It's actually the thing my wife asked for, while she was in hospital. Hedge your bets - have both!

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes and prayers. I'm back home as of a couple of hours ago (Wednesday). I got a bit wheezy a week ago and went to the doctor and got diagnosed with early pneumonia. Got on antibiotics and inhalers but 48 hrs later I was worse, so presented myself to the ER on Saturday a.m. They took a look at me and did another chest film and let me know I'd be a guest in the hospital for a few days. I was on IV antibiotics, steroids, and other stuff. I have mildish type II diabetes and, predictably, the steroids screwed up my blood glucose, requiring insulin, which I've not had to take before. So, I'm home now, transitioned to oral meds and inhalers. I'll take another day or two off from work and recover at home.

Thanks again and all the best to you all.
