is he the same piper who recorded with that bearded accordion player? can't remember his name

Yep, Joe Burke is the one (bearded) accordion player (and Terry Corcoran played guitar and sang). That album -- "Happy to Meet, Sorry to Part" -- is really terrific and came out in the mid 1980s.

yes joe burke - i hope he doesnt mind being referred to as 'that bearded accordion player'
i saw him play a couple of times with his wife on guitar - i remember at one stage in the set she joins him on accordion and he stops playing and she carries on and shows she's a hell of a players herself
i understand he plays flute too although i've never heard his playing

I downloaded it from CDBaby yesterday. Great CD, I highly recommend it. Michael has such as nice clean style, really great for learning tunes.
