Quick question

Post by DrPhill »

At a session the other night someone had a percussion(?) instrument about the size of a large egg, that made a nice noise when shaken.

What is it likely to have been, so I can search for one on the web, please?

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions........

Tell us something.: I've been making whistles since 2010 in my tiny workshop at my home. I've been playing whistle since teenage times.

Shakey eggs are so yesterday. It's the fruit you want.

Around here, shakey eggs are a nonverbal way of expressing the thought: "I've had enough of this session, but I'm too lazy to get up and leave. Someone please kick me out, NOW.

Doh! Something like an egg you shake - 'Shaker Egg'. And I thought it would have an exotic name........

Thanks for that. Its not for me though, NarrowDog, (I can barely cope with one instrument :D ). It would be for my partner. She might stop 'tapping' her foot to her music (upstairs with wooden floors - I can't hear the racket I am making downstairs).

I take it they are frowned upon at serious sessions, then?

Yes, my cardiologist suggested I give up the egg shakers and move to the fruit shakers. :)
