Very interesting regs on the 'Frankenset' (or is it pronounced 'frAWnkenset?'   ) Is it possible to get some closer up pictures of them? Ive seen a pic of regs like those before, are they Howard regs? Fascinating keywork!

Hi lordofthestrings

You are correct, they are Howard regs. The drones and chanter are by Kenny McNicholl.

I will try and take better pictures of the regs and post them later.

Thanks Joseph

I did say I was a magpie   .

There are some other bits and bobs that are in the workshop at the moment ( a left handed Mid East full set and the drones/ regs for a Daily 5/8th set), and assorted stuff I couldn't find amongst my pile of rubbish called a bedroom.

This is my new (used) Lorcan Dunne Half Set in Ebony and Silver. Pretty Huh? Right now there's no bag, and I can't wait to get her up and running!

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Mind you now! Those plugs look like they might have ballistic properties.

Those pipes have an uncanny resemblance to Froment pipes...

Gorgeous pipes. One question: the pipes appear much darker in the first 2 photos. Is that just a trick of the light or did their colour actually change?
