Hi!
I just received a webcam as birthday present, so I thought I could post a little youtube video..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jslY8XakvRY
Tim Moloney's reel, played on my rather new John Gallagher flute.

PS a question for the computer geeks..why on earth the video and the audio are slighty out of sync? Did I do something wrong?

rama-
Thanks for that link. Awesome! Do you know the name of that last reel? I think it's called Charlie Lennon's from his album, but which one? There are so many tunes by him. :boggle:

on net you could find three videos of michael clarkson's playing during san benedetto in alpe folk festival two years ago.
on one clip is air wounded husar, on second clip cregg's pipes and paddy fahy's reels an on third clip is the banks hornpipe.

I don't (due to lack of time) follow this thread thoroughly, so forgive me if these have been posted previously. Here are two rather different but equally superb clips of Breton flute players I have just discovered on YouTube (following through various Facebook and MySpace connections...., all set off by Malo's own flutes for sale thread here on C&F).

First, THE Man - Jean-Michel Veillon - playing unaccompanied for dancing - it's a set of old, familiar favourites of his, but boy, how he cranks 'em out and shifts those dancers!

Second, a new discovery for me, Malo Carvou. It seems he does all the usual Breton stuff, but is also a bit of a Waltz specialist! His fluid command of the full chromatic capacities of his 8-key flute is quite stunning! Check this one out - and then follow through any other YouTube links for him and see his MySpace channel for some audio-only clips (including another veeeerrry kinky waltz)....... The things he can do with a simple system flute make you wonder why Bohm bothered! :boggle:  8)

While we're on waltzes, also check out this from Calum Stewart with One Fine Day, playing his RC&Co cylindrical 8-key with Bigio head - and there are more clips from them on Calum's YouTube channel.

Enjoy!
I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

Thank you for those Jem, if only to be able to play half that well.

Cheers,
