Lesley had a very bad reaction to another of her drugs last night and frightened us all for several hours. However, we know what caused it, that drug has been stopped and she has improved over the day. She is now alert and cheerful and annoyed with herself, but going home is a little further off. She takes it all in her stride, but it is tough for her. She enjoys your messages very much. Thank you again from us both.

We are going home tomorrow! Our consultant from home has come up specially to drive back with us and supervise Lesley if necessary. he is a wonderful man. We have friends who have finished our carpet laying and stocked our fridge and freezer. We have a home help who will come to help with cleaning and cooking until Lesley is stronger. We have district nurses and carers! We are going home!

Thank you all. I'm awake far too early and ready to go, and Lesley is probably still asleep and won't be ready until at least 0900 (0530 now). Your kind wishes are so much appreciated, I can't believe I am really taking her home. That picture of the little girl at the seaside will be Lesley in a day or so I hope! She loves it so. She is still very frail although stronger than she was but she is so strong inside. I would have given up a year ago I know, but she has been fighting non-stop ever since. Thank you again. We are going home.
