Am I the Only One?

Post by Doug_Tipple »

I'm having a slow day, so I go through my list of favorites and click on the Chiff & Fipple link. A little kid with a green and white shirt stares me in the face, and I find that I am staring back at the kid as if I am mesmerized by his glance. Seconds go by, and I remember that I have to scroll down the page to go to the message board.

Just put a direct link to the message boards in your favorites. Voila! No more having to wrench your attention away from the kid.

Well it took me a few seconds of thinking- a kid? what kid? I don't see a kid.

Then I realized....

Mr third grade teacher, Miss Snodgrass, often reminded us, "There are no shortcuts to a decent life". She also said that "Gentlemen don't stand with their hands in their pockets". I'm sure that a lot of her advice on clean living is deeply planted in my subconscious.

You know, I never really thought about linking directly to the message board. I think that I would miss reading about Dale being the undisputed king of whistle journalism, over and over again. And, oh yes, Binkie, the Wonder Possum.

Not to mention being the first to know when the next biennial edition of the newsletter comes out. Perhaps you could let the rest of us know.

That's what we all want to know! Dale, the tin whistle tabloids are clamoring for an answer.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')
