But I thought he left in one of the alien ships. Did they tire of his company and throw him back?

Seriously, but that's not it. What happened is he took off after Suzanne Somers in a flying T-Bird. They haven't seen him since.
(get that reference. :) )

Emm can Always be counted on to spray American Graffiti on a thread (as opposed to drawing cartoon penguins in the Netherlands). Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are still dead, though.

Devils Tower is one weird place. We came across it as a little dot on the map near the route we were taking. Had never heard of it before but never to be forgotten. It has its own little ecosystem on top doesn't it. There are lots of bird do dos down the sides :D If you were interested

Makes for a great climb, tons of good cracks. Climbed it first with one of my uncles, he became obsessed with it as an art study and did about forty paintings in all kinds of light. You can imagine what we all thought when the movie came out.

I went to Devil's Tower on a cross-country geology field trip in 1963. I was thinking about my girl friend that I left behnd in Indiana, so I didn't learn much on the trip. Kind of hard to concentrate on science when you are love-sick. She dumped me later that summer, and in 2009 she inquired about me on facebook, not having heard from her in all those years. She now has four children and grandkids and lives not too far away. Strange world.

And it isn't the strangers that make it strange.
